Hi, I'm Fanti. I write about style for curvy women, because I am one.
I started Curvy Girl Journal as a place to track what I was actually wearing, buying, and recommending to friends. The plus-size content I could find online either patronised me or tried to sell me a “before” picture.
Today the site is a fashion, beauty, hair, and lifestyle blog with hundreds of articles, paired with a creator practice that reaches over 236,000 people across Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond. What ties it all together is the same thing: I only write about products and ideas I'd actually use, and I tell you what they're like on a real plus-size body.
How we got here
Couldn't find a pair of jeans in a size 18.
Every shopping trip was a reminder that the industry didn't make space for me. The pieces that fit didn't flatter, and the pieces I loved didn't come in my size.
Started sharing what actually worked.
When I found a brand or product that worked on a real plus-size body, I posted it. The audience grew because the recommendations were honest, not algorithmic.
Built a place that holds it all.
A blog, a shop, a community. Curvy Girl Journal exists because what we needed didn't exist yet. Now it does.
